Navigating to Success: A UX Case Study of Unissu

Overview

Unissu is a platform that connects users with providers of PropTech (property technology) solutions. The platform enables users to discover and compare PropTech solutions, find vendors, access industry news and insights read reviews, and more. Outlined below is how we undertook a task of finding areas to improve the overall experience of the Unissu platform.

Research

I conducted user research using a combination of surveys, user interviews, and usability testing. I recruited a diverse group of users who had used Unissu in the past or were currently looking for PropTech solutions. These ranged from CEO’s who were interested in data insights, to investors looking for their next potential investment. A wide net was initially cast in order to get an overall view of the platform.

Surveys

I sent out a survey to current Unissu users and received over 100 responses. The survey helped me understand how users currently use the site, what features they like and dislike, and what improvements they would like to see. The quantitative data gathered here was key in understanding, in broad strokes, of the usability of the platform.

User Interviews

Going deeper I then conducted user interviews with 12 participants to understand their experience of using Unissu. I asked them about their goals and motivations for using the site, their challenges and pain points, and their overall satisfaction with the platform.

Usability Testing

I conducted usability testing with 5 participants to observe how they use the site and identify specific issues they encounter. I asked them to perform specific tasks, such as finding a solution that met their specific needs or following a PropTech influencer.

Findings

Based on the research, I identified the following primary issues users encountered on the Unissu platform:
